Description

The Cargo Handler is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely loading, unloading, and movement of cargo. This includes handling inbound and outbound shipments, verifying shipping documentation, and ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with safety regulations.

Load and unload cargo from trucks, aircraft, or ships using manual labor or equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

Inspect cargo for damage, proper labeling, and correct documentation.

Weigh and measure cargo to verify accuracy.

Sort, stack, and organize cargo in designated storage areas.

Ensure all cargo is secured properly and handled according to safety and regulatory standards.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of cargo handling areas.

Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.

Report any irregularities, damages, or missing items to supervisors.

Operate handling equipment safely and according to company procedures.
