IT System and Network Administrator Job Opportunity in United Arab Emirates.
We are looking for a proactive and driven individual to join our 24/7 technical operations team for full time IT System and Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade and, manage IT Infrastructure in a free-zone media house based in Dubai.
Provide L2 support to PCs, MACs, VoIP phones, hardware, and networking equipment users regarding system related problems and inquiries.
Develop the IT strategy for the company and ensure its alignment with the overall company plans.
Coordinate with company divisions, external application/system developers in all development activities such as and not limited to identifying user requirements, developing technical specifications, ensuring system acceptance and user acceptance testing among others;
Coordinate with the departments for new equipment / service procurements (such as and not limited to printers, printer cartridges, toners, laptop and desktop as required) in coordination with IT manager.
Coordinate with Digital, Media, Marketing & PR division for the design, development and updating of the websites.
Maintain relationship with external service providers and handle all aspects of outsourcing contracts with external IT vendors, consultants and suppliers including but not limited to service fees, service level agreements and other terms and conditions.
Coordinate with IT vendor and service providers and resolve vendor issue
Analyze current systems, identify development areas and provide recommendation for improvements in the application/system functionality and productivity based on research and analysis.
Prepare report on all IT activities being conducted and their results and provide relevant input to the IT Manager.
Manage ERP system and accounts including troubleshooting and maintenance.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
Troubleshoot escalated issues and outages.
Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Prioritizing and managing several open cases at one time.
Professional Certification in IT is an advantage
Excellent understanding in PCs, MACs, VoIP Telephony, LAN, WAN etc.
5 years & above experience in same position.
