Description

A Mason is responsible for performing skilled masonry work, including constructing, repairing, and maintaining surfaces and structures made of brick, block, concrete, stone, and tile. In a hospitality setting, this role plays a key part in maintaining aesthetic standards and ensuring guest and staff safety. The Mason supports ongoing maintenance operations, renovations, and special projects in guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all types of masonry work, including blockwork, plastering, tiling, bricklaying, concrete casting, and surface finishing.

Repair and maintain walls, walkways, floors, ceilings, and other structural or decorative elements.

Lay tiles, mix cement, grout surfaces, and conduct waterproofing work where required.

Carry out plastering and patching of interior and exterior walls and ceilings.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
