Company is looking for a bus attendant. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities for bus attendant
Diffuse difficult situations in a positive manner and with respect to the needs of the passengers
Ensure safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shift
Communicate effectively with dispatch or central office personnel via two way radio
Assist operators in navigating and finding locations where necessary
Ensures the safe loading and unloading of students to and from destinations, to include operation of specialized equipment for attending to students with special needs, including car seats, wheelchairs, seat belts, lifts, and/or other applicable equipment
Monitors daily school bus activities to ensure proper student conduct at all times, and adherence to acceptable standards for the District
May assist with routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities, to include attending to spills and cleaning of body fluids
Communicates issues or concerns with drivers, supervisors and administrators in a timely and appropriate manner
Meets state and school board guidelines for hiring
Keeps the school bus clean
