Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen staff in food preparation, cleanliness, and organization. Responsibilities:
Assist the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, washing and peeling ingredients, and portioning.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
Ensure that kitchen equipment, such as stovetops, ovens, and grills, are kept clean and in good working condition.
Stock and restock ingredients and supplies as needed, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked at all times.
Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
Dispose of kitchen waste and garbage in accordance with waste disposal procedures.
Support the kitchen staff during meal service by plating dishes, preparing garnishes, and ensuring timely food delivery.
Collaborate with cooks, chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Assist in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and equipment after meal preparation.
Participate in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after shifts.
Assist in basic food preparation, such as making salads, sandwiches, or appetizers.
Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude when working as part of the kitchen team.
Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as kitchen operations may require.
