Description
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Team Management:
Lead, train, and motivate logistics team members (warehouse staff, drivers, clerks).
Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
Monitor inventory levels, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping or receiving issues.
Warehouse Management:
Oversee loading/unloading, storage, and order fulfillment processes.
Ensure proper handling of goods to minimize damage or loss.
Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS or ERP systems.
Compliance & Safety:
Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
