Job Title: Cashier

Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they approach the checkout counter.
Scan and process merchandise accurately at the point of sale.
Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments securely and accurately.
Provide price information, discounts, and promotions to customers.
Answer customer inquiries and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure the cash register and surrounding area are organized and well-maintained.
Verify the authenticity of currency and checks to prevent fraud.
Assist with bagging and packaging customer purchases.
Collaborate with the team to keep the store clean and well-stocked.
Follow security and loss prevention procedures to safeguard store assets.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is beneficial.
Strong numerical and basic math skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
Patience, empathy, and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Proficiency in operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
Basic knowledge of store products and services.
