Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Ensure the grocery store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
Restock shelves with fresh products and merchandise as needed.
Check product expiration dates and remove any expired items from shelves.
Monitor inventory levels and notify the store manager when items need to be reordered.
Assist customers in locating products and provide information about product features.
Bag groceries for customers and offer assistance with carrying groceries to their vehicles.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shopping carts and baskets.
Collect and return shopping carts from the parking lot to ensure availability for customers.
Assist with maintaining the store’s overall appearance, including sweeping and cleaning.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and courteously.
Assist in pricing and labeling products.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of perishable items.
Collaborate with team members and support other store departments as needed.
Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately.
Keep up-to-date with promotions, discounts, and special offers.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a grocery store or retail setting is a plus but not required.
Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to a certain weight limit).
Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
High school diploma or equivalent.
