Description

Financial Records Management:

Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and journal entries.
Verify the accuracy of financial data and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and deviations from the budget.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare regular financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Present financial reports to management, highlighting key financial insights and performance indicators.
Tax Compliance:

Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and submitting tax returns, including income tax and sales tax filings.
Maintain records for tax deductions and credits.
Audit Support:

Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Accounts Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Payroll Processing:

Process employee payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
Ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
Compliance and Regulation:

Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, principles, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Vendor Management:

Maintain relationships with vendors, process payments, and address payment-related inquiries.
Process Improvement:

Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is an advantage.
Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar accounting role is preferred but not always mandatory.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data management.
Analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and performance metrics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
