Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Job Description:
A logistics coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the movement of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain. This role involves managing various aspects of logistics operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products to customers or distribution points.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shipment Coordination: Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring that goods are picked up, transported, and delivered on time.
• Order Processing: Receive and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Generate shipping documents, invoices, and packing lists as required.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status, delays, and other relevant information.
• Route Optimization: Determine the most efficient routes and transportation methods to optimize costs and delivery times.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve transportation-related issues such as delays, damages, and discrepancies. Take appropriate actions to mitigate disruptions to the supply chain.
• Track and Trace: Monitor the movement of shipments and provide real-time updates to stakeholders. Address any issues that may arise during transit.
• Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns related to shipments, delivery times, and order status. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or related roles is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to address unforeseen challenges.
