Job Title: Picking and Packing Specialist

Responsibilities:
Retrieve products from designated locations in the warehouse based on pick lists.
Ensure accuracy in selecting the correct items and quantities for each order.
Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, if required and trained.
Carefully and efficiently pack items into appropriate containers or boxes for shipment, taking care to prevent damage.
Verify and double-check picked and packed orders for accuracy.
Apply shipping labels and ensure proper documentation is included with each shipment.
Maintain a clean and organized picking and packing area.
Collaborate with the shipping team to prioritize orders and meet shipping deadlines.
Report any discrepancies, damaged products, or inventory issues to a supervisor.
Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow company policies and procedures for quality and efficiency.
Help with general warehouse tasks as required, such as restocking shelves, receiving goods, or unloading shipments.
Participate in training sessions and meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar environment is a plus but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and calculating shipping costs.
Ability to lift and move packages, potentially of varying sizes and weights.
Familiarity with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them rigorously.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
