Description

Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner.
Scan items and process transactions accurately using cash registers or POS systems.
Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely and efficiently.
Ensure the accuracy of prices, discounts, and promotions applied to transactions.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including keeping the counter tidy and ensuring adequate supply of bags and receipt paper.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, security, and customer service.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role preferred.
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with cash registers or POS systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
