Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly and efficient service at the checkout counter.
Scan and ring up merchandise, ensuring accurate pricing and handling of transactions.
Process cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including replenishing bags, cleaning conveyor belts, and ensuring adequate supplies of receipt paper.
Answer customer questions and provide information about store policies, products, and promotions.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift, following established procedures.
Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting inventory counts as needed.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient shopping experience for customers.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.
